Public Transportation

For public transportation assistance, please visit the 511.org trip planner. Fill up your Clipper Card (or get a new one) at http://is.gd/CLIPPER. Clipper Cards may also be used to pay for parking at select SFMTA parking garages.

TO THE PARADE ASSEMBLY AREA

The nearest Muni and BART station is the Van Ness/Civic Center station. The opening ceremonies stage and parade assembly area is on the corner of Larkin and Fulton Streets between the SF Public Library and the Asian Art Museum. Get directions.

TO WATCH THE PARADE (ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE)

Prime float-watching, dancing and cheering spots are along Market Street in front of the Powell Street Cable Car Turnaround and the Westfield Centre. View a street-view map of the area.

TO THE FESTIVAL

The nearest Muni and BART station is the Powell Street station. Upon exiting the station, walk down Market Street then turn right onto 4th Street. Walk one block to Mission Street to reach the Metreon. Yerba Buena Gardens in behind the Metreon building. Get directions.

Driving

Pistahan encourages everyone to use public transportation where possible. But if you have to drive, you can get directions from Google Maps.

TO THE PARADE

From the Peninsula

Take U.S. 101 north towards San Francisco. Take the U.S. 101 North/Duboce Ave./Mission Street exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn Right onto Mission Street. Turn slight left onto Van Ness Ave. Turn right onto McAllister.

From the East Bay

Take Interstate 580. Exit onto Interstate 80 West towards San Francisco, After crossing the Bay Bridge, take at the 9th Street/Civic Center exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn left onto Harrison Street, then turn right onto 9th Street. Turn slight left onto Hayes Street, then turn right onto Van Ness Ave. Turn right onto McAllister.

From the North Bay

Take U.S. 101 south towards San Francisco. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and merge onto U.S. 101 South (Lombard Street). Turn right at the intersection of Lombard and Van Ness, onto Van Ness Ave. Turn left onto McAllister. 

TO THE FESTIVAL

From the Peninsula

Take Highway 101 until it connects to Interstate 80 and exit at Fourth Street; Fourth immediately leads onto Bryant Street. Take a left from Bryant onto Third Street - the Gardens will be on your left between Howard and Mission Streets and immediately across Third Street from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

From the East Bay

Take Interstate 80 and exit at Fremont Street. Take an immediate left from Fremont onto Howard Street and get into the right lane. Go two blocks and turn right on Third Street - the Gardens will be on your left immediately across Third Street from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

From the North Bay

Take Highway 101 to Lombard Street. Follow Lombard to Van Ness Avenue and turn right; follow Van Ness until you reach Golden Gate Avenue and turn left. Follow Golden Gate as it crosses Market Street onto Sixth Street. Turn left from Sixth Street onto Folsom Street and follow Folsom up to Third Street; turn left onto Third—the Gardens will be on your left between Howard and Mission Streets and immediately across Third Street from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
